Antenatal Workshops in Wirral:
Preparation for Birth & Beyond

In Collaboration with Nutrition 4 Nippers

Birth is not just about bringing a baby into the world - it is about the making of a mother.

Preparing for birth is about more than just labour - it’s about understanding your body, your choices, and how to navigate fear and uncertainty with confidence as you step into early parenthood.

At Zita Maria, our antenatal workshops offer more than information. We provide a calm, evidence-based, and supportive approach to preparing for labour, birth, feeding, and the fourth trimester.

Delivered in collaboration with Nutrition 4 Nippers, these sessions bring together experienced midwives, infant feeding specialists, and paediatric dietitians - giving you a well-rounded, expert-led experience.

This is a more personalised, in-depth alternative to standard antenatal classes - ideal for families who want clarity, confidence, and continuity of care throughout pregnancy and beyond.

A Different Approach to Antenatal Education

Our workshops are intentionally different from traditional antenatal classes.

We focus on:

  • Real-life preparation, not just theory

  • Evidence-based, non-biased information

  • Small, supportive group environments

  • Time to ask questions and explore your options

  • Preparing you not just for birth — but for the early weeks with your baby

You will leave feeling informed, reassured, and genuinely prepared.

Why Preparation Matters

So many families tell us they felt unprepared for:

  • The reality of labour

  • Early feeding challenges

  • The emotional and physical demands of the fourth trimester

These workshops are designed to bridge that gap — giving you clarity, confidence, and ongoing support beyond the sessions themselves.

As experienced midwives, infant feeding specialists, and tongue-tie practitioners, we bring a deeper level of clinical insight into both birth and early feeding.

But beyond our professional expertise, we are also mothers ourselves — which means we understand both the clinical and the real-life experience of pregnancy, birth, and the early days with your baby.

We are genuinely passionate about labour and birth — supporting women to feel informed, confident, and in control of their experience — while also recognising how closely birth and feeding are connected.

We understand:

  • How birth can influence early feeding

  • How and why challenges may arise

  • When support is needed — and what that support should look like

This means you are not just preparing for birth.... you are preparing for what comes after, with the right knowledge and support in place from the very beginning.

Who It’s For

Our workshops are designed for families who want more than a standard antenatal class — those who are looking for a calm, supportive, and genuinely informative space to prepare for birth and early parenthood.

This is for you if you are:

  • A first-time parent wanting to feel prepared and confident

  • Looking for a more personalised, in-depth experience

  • Feeling unsure or overwhelmed by conflicting advice

  • Wanting clear, evidence-based guidance from experienced professionals

It is also particularly supportive for those:

  • Who have had a previous difficult or traumatic birth experience

  • Planning a VBAC (vaginal birth after caesarean) and wanting informed, balanced support

  • Experiencing anxiety around labour, birth, or feeding

  • Who would benefit from a safe, non-judgemental space to explore their concerns

Our aim is to create an environment where you feel listened to, supported, and empowered — with the time and space to ask questions, understand your options, and prepare in a way that feels right for you.
